This blog is beginning as I start a new chapter in my life. I am finding myself going through changes both professionally and personally. Starting the BAPP at Middlesex University is something I have thought about a lot since graduating from Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in 2011. Finally I find myself at the right time in my life to be able to resume studies and evaluate my career so far.
Moving to London six and a half years ago, the day after I turned eighteen, was a huge step for me. The course I did at Italia Conti (3year National Diploma in Performing Arts) taught me a lot about the performing arts industry and about myself as a person. Now almost four years later my experiences out in the world of work have again moulded me into a different version of myself. I have developed different ambitions and set myself new goals. Gaining this degree is one of them.
I have always had a passion for working with children and sharing my love of the arts. I believe the arts can give children a real boost in their confidence and learning abilities. Everyone responds to different types of learning after all. In gaining this degree I open myself up to more opportunities as a teacher as well as a performer. I will be working on this degree alongside my job as a drama teacher for a children's theatre school based in North London. I am excited to get started.
Hi Lisa
ReplyDeleteI haverecently started the BAPP course and found that your blog has been most helpful its set out really well and easily understood. I love the pink background. I am just getting started on creating my blog now and you have gave me some great ideas. I'm not very experienced at all in web 2.
After reading your blog it is reassuring to know I am not the only person who found an internet based course very daunting. You have made an excellent start and i hope i begin to understand it as much as you do.
Hi Laura,

Look forward to reading your blog.
