I can't believe we are coming into the final week of Module 3!!
I am currently working on my draft of the write up of my inquiry after feedback from Paula and putting together my artefact. I am hoping to send both to Paula tonight or tomorrow. It's been harder that I expected this weekend to get what I wanted done. I put aside some time thinking 'yes I know what I want to say'. But when it came to it I found it more difficult than I thought.
Something I talked about with Paula is showing my passion for what I do. I have had frustration trying to put this into my critical review and artefact. As well as the research and work I have done I do really want people to understand how important this is to me. I absolutely love my job and I can't wait to develop further when I begin my PGCE in September. I believe that doing this inquiry has given me a great foundation and that I will go into the next stage of my career with the right frame of mind. I am now used to reflecting regularly on my practice and to questioning things rather than just accepting them. Giving me a better understanding of what I do and others around me.
I think that my background in the arts gives me key skills that will help me in my teaching career. I think perfomance arts prompts you to question the world around you and to understand other better because you spend time studying and becoming a character. You are used to understanding people other than yourself - which you have to do with your students.
